New Hampshire Housing strives to ensure that all information and technology is available to individuals with disabilities. In 1998, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments, as amended by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, issued accessibility standards setting forth electronic and information technology performance criteria. Using these accessibility guidelines, we are continuously improving our web pages for easy access to all visitors. We are making every effort to maintain our website’s Section 508 compliance and will continue with these efforts as new methods and technology become available.

On August 11, 2000, President Clinton signed Executive Order 13166, “Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency.” The Executive Order requires Federal agencies, as well as those who receive federal program funds, to examine the services they provide, identify any need for services to those with limited English proficiency (LEP), and develop and implement a system to provide those services so LEP persons can have meaningful access to them.

Final guidelines were released by HUD in 2007 for providing access to programs for all people, regardless of national origin and English language ability. In accordance with those guidelines, New Hampshire Housing has a Language Access Plan outlining what steps our agency will take to provide access to those with limited English Proficiency.

Questions or comments about the Language Access Plan should be directed to Dee Pouliot, Director, Assisted Housing Division.
